My story:
When my 17 month old learned how to climb out of her crib I panicked. I was not ready for her to be in a regular bed, especially for her safety. My child was swinging her leg up high enough to get leverage to climb out. I needed something to stop her from climbing out of the crib and potentially falling but that would allow her mobility a little before bedtime. Other mediums that had been used before, like crib tents, were no longer safe. And sleep sacks have to be put on right before bed or the child is not able to be mobile.
These footie/sleeper pajamas prevent your child from making the not-so-great-escape. The fabric panel sewn between the pajama legs does not allow your child the leg height they need to leverage out of their crib. These pajamas will help keep your toddler safely in their crib.
The Not-So-Great-Escape pajamas are made of high quality name brand, NEW sleeper pajamas with my home made touch of a soft knit fabric panel sewn in the current seam. The placement of the panel allows your child enough movement to walk/run but restricts their ability to climb out of their crib. The panel leaves a space so your child can wear their pajamas and still ride safely and comfortably in a car seat (the space allows for the bottom latch of the harness to thread through).
I have shared my idea with many friends and family members and wanted to reach out to others to help them keep their child safely in their cribs so they (and their parents) can rest peacefully.
